CHRISTIAN CHARTER
|
| |
| In
humble submission to Almighty God , we the people of South Africa;
Realizing
that:
|
·
The South African society has lost its moral
compass
· South Africans are
plagued by levels of crime, the nature and intensity
of which are unprecedented in our history.
· Our Youth
have become enslaved by alcohol and drug abuse at an alarming
rate and have lost all respect for parental discipline
and control.
· Secular Humanism
has been the major cause for the sharp decline
in the observance of Christian norms and values in our
society especially in relation to family cohesion.
· Unemployment
, HIV/.AIDS and poverty are causing hardship for people
of all ethnic groups.
|
|
| We
acknowledge and declare that:
IT
IS TIME FOR CHRISTIANS TO UNITE AND BREAK THEIR SILENCE
We
believe that:
|
·
All authority and government is derived
from and is answerable to Almighty God
· The Church
has a prophetic duty to pray for the government but also
to warn and guide our nation
· Christians
especially those in leadership positions should seek to
influence and direct government by choosing
leaders who will fight for Biblical values
and principles.
· It is incumbent
on all Christians to examine political Parties and their policies before giving them your outright support.
